Masters program lesson 2- applying resistors

The resistor is used to lower the flow of current, divide voltages, block transmission signals, and bias active elements. this vital component was experimented with in below and shows how it took the positive side of the LED leg and divided the voltage to more suitable amount (5 volts maximum on arduino.) this limited the LED’s ability to glow brighter but in the process it increased the life span of the LED bulb as too much voltage can damage the component. The resistor can help minimise these effects while keeping the component functioning.
